Being gay is a choice

Episode 9

I do not believe that being gay is a choice.  I certainly never chose to be gay.  But, whether it is or not should have no impact on anything whatsoever.  If gay people choose to be gay, they should be allowed to make that choice, just like Mormons choose to be Mormons or chocolate lovers choose to eat chocolate.

Tolerance

Episode 8

I believe that everyone has the right to believe as they choose and to voice their opinions.  No one should be made to feel inferior or threatened by believing something different or by making that opinion known.

Why I can't leave the church alone

Episode 7

I explain why it is that I feel like I can't simply ignore the LDS church.  It has done much harm to me and to homosexuals, and I don't think that that harm should go excused or unnoticed.

Breaking up is hard to do

Episode 6
I've always had sympathy for people who have been disowned by family--whether it's because they changed religions or because they came out of the closet or married the wrong person or whatever.  But, I've never really known what it felt like until now.  I consider myself lucky that I went nearly a year after coming out before I got this kind of message, but I did get an email the other day from someone telling me never to talk to him again.  It hurts, and I want to empathize with those who have been in similar situations or have anxiety about such a thing happening in the future.

In this episode, I talk about marriage equality and why I think that happily married couples should be on the front lines supporting it.
